Four charged with robbing gaming box
Investigators assigned to the St Ann Police Division have charged four men
with several larceny-related offences following an incident in the parish.
The accused have been identified as 25-year-old Ranaldo Thomas, otherwise called 'Prince'; 31-year-old Tyreke Rose, otherwise called 'Russell'; 27-year-old Kyle Lawton, otherwise called 'Reds'; and 27-year-old Andrew Bennett, otherwise called 'Bad Hog', all of Portland addresses. Reports from the Ocho Rios police indicate that on April 16, the men allegedly visited a business establishment and used false keys to gain entry to the premises. While there, they reportedly removed $393,000 from a roulette gaming box. It was further reported that on June 6, the men returned to the establishment and again removed $84,000 from the same gaming box.
The matter was subsequently reported to the police, and an intensive investigation was launched. During the probe, video footage obtained by investigators allegedly implicated the men in the commission of the offences. The accused were later arrested and charged with being part of a criminal organisation, simple larceny, conspiracy to commit simple larceny, and malicious destruction of property.
Their court dates are being arranged.
