LONDON, England (CMC):

Antigua and Barbuda international Reece Beckles bagged an early brace for Cheshunt, but finished the day empty-handed as Peterborough Sports hit back to win their English FA Trophy second-round match 3-2 on Saturday.

Beckles, a 27-year-old striker, fired the sixth-tier National League South outfit ahead with a double salvo on 10 and 12 minutes at Lincoln Road, but the hosts, who play in the National League North, levelled before the break and won it with a 77th-minute goal from Michael Cash.

In another Trophy game, 28-year-old Bermuda midfielder Willie Clemons fired National League South's Braintree Town into the next round with a fourth-minute goal that was enough to see off visitors Brackley Town of the National League North 1-0 at Cressing Road Stadium.

In League Two, Grenada international Omar Beckles provided an assist and the winner as Leyton Orient extended their lead at the top of fourth tier to five points as they came from behind to beat Stockport County 2-1 in a high-quality encounter at a packed Edgeley Park, the hosts' first defeat in six league matches.

Stockport struck after just four minutes, skipper Paddy Madden flicking the ball into the path of Myles Hippolyte, a 28-year-old winger eligible to play for St Lucia or Grenada, who rifled it home from an angle.

Orient levelled after 20 minutes. Beckles, a 31-year-old defender, flicked a throw-in across to skipper Darren Pratley, who thumped a header home.

Beckles then handed Orient the lead on 67 minutes with his second goal of the campaign.

Idris El Mizouni's 25-yard pile-driver was tipped on to the crossbar by goalkeeper Ben Hinchliffe, but Beckles was alert to the rebound and tucked the ball home in front of the travelling fans.

Jamaican striker Jamille Matt, meanwhile, came off the bench to earn bottom club Forest Green a 1-1 draw at Oxford in their League One game at the Kassam Stadium.

Matt, 33, who replaced the injured Kyle McAllister in the seventh minute of first-half injury time, levelled in the 61st minute for the visitors when he headed in Corey O'Keeffe's right-wing cross at the far post.

It was Matt's second goal of an injury-plagued season.
